Tra(i)nsmutation – Mind the Gap
The view from the train window: thoughts, images and questions overlay and frame a landscape of ideas, relations and conclusions passing by. From 12 to 26 June 2026, the final exhibition of the Master’s in Cultural Critique (MCC) will take the form of a train that sets thought in motion.
Exhibition
The MCC train creates a space of transit where analysis, mediation, writing, and curatorial practice become trajectories rather than fixed destinations, transmuting ideas into forms and research into experience. The thesis, rather than a static object to be simply read or listened to, is a landscape in motion, an environment to be traversed: layered and continuously transforming as one passes through it. Does an environment spark your curiosity during the ride? Press the emergency stop to discover more.
The diploma exhibition will be open from 12 to 26 June 2026, daily from 12 noon to 8 pm. Venue: Toni-Areal, 5.K03.
Mind the gap before boarding the train!
In cooperation with Paratopia:
Paratopia is a collaborative, cross-departmental curatorial platform conceived as a portable exhibition space. Designed to move beyond ateliers in ZHdK into public settings, it offers students the opportunity to share their work, explore curatorial practices, and foster connections across departments. The platform is supported by the Verso Project Fund.
