At ZHdK, students choose a Major. In addition to this core subject, they can choose one or two Minors to deepen or expand their major skills and knowledge across various disciplines. This wide choice of courses is unique in Europe and enables students to develop and sharpen their individual profile.

The Student Advice Team is your central point of contact for all enquiries relating to studying at Zurich University of the Arts. We can advise you directly or refer you to the appropriate person or service. For example, if you have questions about choosing a degree programme and applying, exchange programmes, visas and residence permits, or accommodation.

Arts and design know no national or geographical boundaries; on the contrary, they thrive on debate and mutual inspiration. ZHdK offers student exchanges with its partner universities and supports a variety of international projects as well as the globally unique “Shared Campus” initiative.

Opening hours – Walk-in
During our opening hours, you can drop in without an appointment for an initial consultation or contact us by telephone:

– Tuesday: 12:00–3:00 pm
– Wednesday: 12:00–3:00 pm
– Thursday: 12:00–3:00 pm

Student Advice is located in Room 3.T07 in the ZHdK entrance hall, opposite the large staircase and next to the wooden benches.

Individual counselling sessions
A counselling session with us is free of charge, lasts 45 minutes and can take place online or in person at ZHdK.
