In the third semester, you prepare for your chosen field of study through a series of self-directed projects supported by tutorial periods. Alongside your project work, seminars in contemporary art, design, and language encourage you to deepen your critical thinking, expand your cultural understanding, and strengthen your ability to reflect on and communicate your ideas.
Seminars on Contemporary Art
You explore selected contemporary and historical positions in art and examine the cultural, social, and artistic contexts in which they emerged. By analysing artworks and visiting exhibitions, you develop your ability to engage critically with art, discuss different approaches to interpretation, and reflect on how artworks are experienced and understood.
Design Seminars
You investigate key questions and phenomena in spatial and applied design. Through exhibition visits, case studies, discussions, and texts, you gain a deeper understanding of the complexity of design and develop greater awareness of the aesthetic, functional, and cultural dimensions of designed environments and objects.
Language Seminar
You discover how language can be used as a powerful tool for creative expression and critical reflection. Through writing, attentive listening, discussion, and presentation exercises, you explore the possibilities of both spoken and written language. You learn how to articulate your ideas clearly, engage with the perspectives of others, and analyse texts in depth. Examples from art and literature serve as inspiration and reference points throughout the seminar.
Elective Modules
During the third semester, you have the opportunity to choose from a range of one- or two-week modules offered within the full-time preparatory programme. These elective modules allow you to further develop specific skills, explore new areas of interest, and broaden your creative experience.
Progression and Portfolio Development
After completing the first and second semesters, you can transfer to the full-time preparatory programme without an additional entrance examination. Following the third semester, you take part in a four-week portfolio course, where you review, refine, and present your work, creating a portfolio that showcases your development, strengths, and individual creative profile.
