Programme

Course content.
In this minor, you take part in collaborative projects offered by the department – or you apply with your own project idea, the core idea of which is collaboration. Styles and formats are basically free, but integration into the possibilities of the department must be guaranteed. You will work on the project in intensive rehearsals, mentoring sessions and regular lessons. The results lead to independent presentations or to participation in ZHdK projects, in concerts by ZHdK partners or in Open Chamber Music Sessions. 
The minor in German and English is offered by the profile Interpretation & Performance. It is aimed at the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree levels.
You can choose between three different profiles within the minor:
–  Individual project (own project)
–  Chamber music
–  Contemporary ensemble

Skills acquired in the course.
Project and repertoire planning, efficient rehearsal work, conceptualisation, reflection, creative interaction, collaborative creation, teamwork, social and communicative aspects of collaborative work – spurred on by the demands of a convincing artistic result.

Admissions requirements.
The minor is aimed at individual musicians or ensembles who would like to specialize in musical collaboration to complement the major programme. 
Social competence, critical faculties, the ability to work under pressure and enjoyment of playing together are essential for completing the programme.

Language skills required.
You need the following languages to take this minor:
–  German or English: to be able to follow a discussion
–  German or English: to actively participate in a verbal exchange
–  German or English: to understand a text
–  German or English: to write a text
