For the graduates of the Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Dance, the Master of Arts in Dance, and the students of the Zurich Dance Academy (taZ), an educational chapter comes to an end. We wish our graduates all the best for the future and congratulate them on successfully completing their studies.
BA Contemporary Dance
Heads of Programme: Samuel Wuersten and Gianni Malfer
21 students successfully completed their studies in the Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Dance at ZHdK. This international programme attracts graduates from Australia, Italy, Lithuania, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, the USA, and Switzerland, providing them with the highest level of training in contemporary dance. The curriculum, which includes an integrated health programme, prepares students to work in dance companies, theatres, or the independent scene upon graduation. Here, the Bachelor students present their final projects and provide insights into their studies.

This year, eight students completed their studies in the Master of Arts in Dance programme at ZHdK. Within the masterโs programme, students can choose to specialize either in Choreography or in Teaching and Coaching Dance Professionals. The final projects of six Choreography students were presented at the Theater der Kรผnste, The Valley in Kemptthal, as well as at Toni Campus. The two students with a focus on Teaching and Coaching Dance Professionals showcased their final projects through demonstration lectures to a public audience at ZHdK.

Offering professional training in classical dance, Zurich Dance Academy prepares talented children and young people aged 11 to 19 for their future careers as dancers.
Our institution provides widely acclaimed ballet education and is a sought-after destination for students from Switzerland, Europe and overseas.
A team of teachers with outstanding international reputations assures the high standard and quality we provide in our education. This is reflected in the fact that our graduates are found in companies all over the world. 13 students will successfully graduate from Zurich Dance Academy in Summer 2024.
The annual summer performances โCurtain Up!โ are a highlight of the school year for all students at the Zurich Dance Academy. Dance and training techniques as well as practical repertoire knowledge are applied and consolidated on stage. Extensive experience on stage is essential for the qualification as a professional dancer.
