From Claim to Evidence: PgB Project with ZHAW

How can the impact of art and design in the context of sustainable development be assessed and made visible? This is the question addressed by the project “From Claim to Evidence”, carried out as part of the Project-Linked Contributions (PgB) programme of swissuniversities.

The project investigates how artistic and design intentions unfold their impact in research and practice, and how this impact can be assessed both qualitatively and quantitatively. It examines different levels of the process, from planning and design to reception. The aim is to make the contribution of art and design to sustainable development visible, develop a more differentiated understanding of how they create impact, and establish a foundation for future projects.

“From Claim to Evidence” is a collaboration between Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), Sustainability in the Arts, and the Institute of Environmental and Sustainability Psychology at Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). The project is funded by swissuniversities.
