Sometimes it doesn’t take much to turn something old into something new.
Sometimes, all it takes is giving an item a second chance with someone else. Clothing is particularly well-suited for this – and in past events, more than 240 kg of clothes and accessories have already found new owners.
Together with the Zurich Knowledge Center for Sustainable Development (ZKSD), the Sustainability Dossier of ZHdK is hosting a clothing swap with an evening program. Through a practice-oriented input by Isabela Gygax, a screening of the award-winning film “Machines” (2016) by Rahul Jain, and a shared reflection session, we will take a closer look at the complex interplay between fashion, consumption, and sustainability.

How it works:
- Bring up to 10 clean and well-preserved clothing items, and/or take up to 10 items for free.
- Not sure if something fits? Simple changing areas and mirrors will be available on site.
- The clothing swap is open to everyone — non-ZHdK participants are also very welcome.
- You can also bring or take accessories such as jewelry, sunglasses, bags, or similar items.
