  • Balz Bachmann

    Since 1995 he has devoted himself primarily to composition for feature films and documentaries, theatre, art and television. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Film Music Prize at the Locarno International Film Festival, the Swiss Film Award, and a double nomination for the German Documentary Film Music Prize at the Dokfest. Balz Bachmann has worked with filmmakers such as Bosnian director Jasmila Zbanic, director Dani Levy and Xavier Koller. In addition to his work as a composer, he teaches as a guest lecturer at the Zurich University of the Arts. Furthermore he accompanied the singer Sophie Hunger as a musician on her tours. He is a member of the European Film Academy as well as the Swiss Film Academy.

    Jennifer Fox is an internationally renowned writer, director, and producer. Her groundbreaking films and series include the Sundance Grand Prize Winner, “Beirut: the Last Home Movie”, “An American Love Story”, “Flying Confessions Of A Free Woman”, and the Emmy nominated, “My Reincarnation”. Fox recently completed the movie “The Tale”, which premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and launched on HBO Films in the U.S. and worldwide to audience and critical acclaim. The movie has been numerously nominated and awarded, for example the Emmy Awards, Independent Spirit Awards and the Golden Globe Awards. Fox has executive produced numerous films including “Love & Diane”, “On the Ropes”, “The Pathological Optimist” und “The Rest I Make Up”.

  • Gesa Marten

    Gesa Marten studied theatre-, film- and television-science and German studies in Munich and Cologne. She graduated with an M.A. degree. Since 1991 she is a freelance film editor and dramaturge for documentary film/art. Her editing work has received several awards. Since 2014, she represents the professorship “Artistic Montage Feature and Documentary Film” at the Film University Babelsberg, where she has been a member of the board at the Institute for Artistic Research since 2015. In autumn/winter 2017/18 she was “Visiting Filmmaker” at ZHdK. Gesa Marten is also a member of the German and European Film Academies as well as the German Association for Film and Television Dramaturgy (VeDRA) and the Federal Association of Film Editing (BFS Bundesverband Filmschnitt). Gesa Marten lives and works near Berlin.

  • Andres Veiel

    Andres Veiel works on film and theatre projects that are mostly located in the border area between reality and fiction. His work is characterized by intensive research, some of it lasting several years. For his films "Winternachtstraum" (1991), "Balagan" (1993), "Die Überlebenden / The Survivors" (1996), "Black Box Germany" (2001), "Die Spielwütigen / Addicted to Acting" (2004), "Der Kick" (2006), "Wer wenn nicht wir / If not us Who" (2011) and "Beuys" (2017) he has received more than fifty awards, including the European Film Prize and several German Film Prizes. His theatre plays "Der Kick" (2006) and "Das Himbeerreich" (2013) and "Let them eat money" (2018) have been performed on more than 100 stages worldwide. Andres Veiel teaches at various film schools. At the dffb (German Film and Television Academy) he offers a master class in documentary film, in which he accompanies students from the initial idea until the completion of their films
