CAS Facilitating Innovation. From the idea to implementation – supporting teams and organizations effectively

The CAS Facilitating Innovation focuses on practical applications and helps to develop an individual profile as a facilitator. Innovation and transformation processes, especially in times of AI, require for people to work together across disciplines, teams and roles. Formerly known as CAS Design Methods, the revised CAS Facilitating Innovation course teaches methods and tools for effectively facilitating change.

Structure

The CAS Facilitating Innovation is completed within five months. It comprises a total of seven teaching modules of three days each. In an individual certificate project, participants explore their facilitator role in depth and develop it further with the support of experienced mentors. This results in a personal facilitator video portrait which, together with selected method and setting descriptions, is included in the online collection designtools.zhdk.ch.

Target audience

The CAS Facilitating Innovation is aimed at people from all functions and industries who want to enrich their facilitation skills with design-oriented approaches and techniques and use them to effectively support innovation and transformation processes.

  • Designers and creatives who want to expand their facilitation and process consulting skills and apply them to new areas of application
  • Specialists from various disciplines who want to learn specific design-oriented facilitation approaches and methods and integrate them into existing processes
  • Managers to expand their facilitative skills and anchor them in the corporate culture

CAS with prospects

The CAS Facilitating Innovation is part of the modular continuing education degree programme, the MAS Strategic Design. This MAS consists of a total of six Certificates of Advanced Studies (CAS). Participants choose which programmes they want to attend and freely select the order. Over a period of three to six years, three CAS programmes and one MAS degree module can be completed in order to receive the MAS degree.
