Futures Literacy enables people and organisations to shape the future, to experience it today and thus to actively drive forward urgent changes. The CAS provides the necessary tools and mindsets and cultivates the creativity needed to support processes as future agent with a high level of imagination, to tackle challenges with courage and to develop pioneering strategies.

In short

Three reasons why Futures Literacy is important for you and your organization:

Promote a culture of innovation: By encouraging CAS-participants to contribute their ideas and play an active role in shaping the future, Futures Literacy strengthens their ability to innovate, enabling them to develop creative solutions to future problems. This can lead to the development of new, innovative products and services, thereby strengthening long-term competitiveness.

Increase adaptability: In a rapidly changing world, futures literacy helps people to react flexibly to upcoming changes. Futures thinking encourages people to think together about goals, values and possible futures. This promotes a sense of participation and responsibility and strengthens resilience and acceptance of change.

Do strategic planning with sustainability: Future competence enables a systematic examination of trends and signals in the present and the opportunities and risks of the future. This promotes long-term strategic planning, reduces the risk of bad investments and improves the basis for decision-making, taking into account economic, ecological and social dimensions.
