      • Marta Allocco

I’m Marta, from Conegliano Veneto, Italy. I was born in 2000. I have been dancing since I was a child. I realized at a very early age that I wanted to become a dancer. Supported by my parents and my teacher, I decided to move to Livorno last year to study at AED, a school linked to Zurich University of the Arts. I’m now here to work on myself and to fulfil my dream.

      • Julian Beairsto

I grew up in the North of Canada, and at the age of seven, after deciding hockey was not for me, I started dancing. After graduating from high school, I knew I wanted to study dance outside of North America, so I first went to Berlin and furthered my training in contemporary dance. The following autumn, after a successful audition with ZHdK, I was ready to hop on a plane and experience my passion with 18 other amazing students keen to train hard and grow as a team. I am so excited to see everything that’s thrown at us over the three years!

      • Jacopo Bellani

Hi, I am Jacopo Bellani, and I’m from Olbia (Sardinia, Italy). I started to dance when I was six years old, and I have never stopped following my passion for this art form. I dance because I need to express myself, to feel that sensation of freedom that I feel when I dance. I love ballet and contemporary dance, and I think that they are both necessary to be a 360-degree dancer. I am going to Zurich University of the Arts to improve and become a great dancer.

      • Beatrice Castaldo

My name is Beatrice, and I come from Livorno, Italy. I was born in 2001, and I have been dancing since I was four years old. Becoming a dancer has always been my dream, even before I could genuinely express it, so Zurich University of the Arts feels like the right place for me. I would love to discover new styles and points of view on contemporary dance, to be able to find the one/s I love and to make it my profession.

      • Francine Hoenner

My name is Francine and I grew up in Rebstein. I had my first ballet lesson with Veronica Rossetti when I was five years old. In 2012, I took part in the show “Die grössten Schweizer Talente” (Switzerland’s Got Talent) with the youth dance group Danceloft. From that moment on, there was no doubt in my mind: I wanted to be on stage.
I spent three years from 2013 to 2016 training at the Zurich Dance Academy. As I’m curious and interested in all manner of dance styles, I made the decision to explore modern dance in more detail – which I did in Geneva between 2016 and 2019, where I completed an apprenticeship and Federal Vocational Baccalaureate at CFP Arts. My next adventure already awaits me on the Toni Campus!

      • Camille Zany

Hi, I was born in France in 2001. I grew up and started dancing in the USA. To me, dance is an embodiment of storytelling, where my emotions are sculpted through space. I plan to solidify my technique during my time at ZHdK and eagerly anticipate learning from the diverse styles of renowned choreographers. I see myself creating my own body of work one day to share the surprise and beauty of innovative movement with others!
