Educational objectives

We train confident, skilled teachers and educators who pass on their passion for art and design with professional and methodological skill. We firmly believe that it is possible to advance people of all ages in their creative work and mode of expression. Well-qualified specialists who plan and implement target-group-appropriate design and artistic education courses are needed to support such learning and development processes.

In the Bachelor of Arts in Art Education, students develop basic artistic and design skills. They enhance their knowledge of art, media, design and cultural theory, and are able to apply this knowledge to their teaching work. They familiarize themselves with teaching and learning methods and are up to date with regard to the required didactic, pedagogical and psychological approaches.
