    Eligibility and admission requirements

    This CAS is designed for graduates in music.
    The requirements for admission to the programme are as follows:

    • successful completion of a university degree in music or an equivalent qualification 
    • professional experience
    • positive outcome to the admission interview/assessment 

    Special admission (“sur dossier”) is also possible in justified cases. The decision on admission is made by the core subject lecturer and the Head of Continuing Education in Music.

    Transfers and admissions

    Continuation of studies
    If a continuation of studies in the “CAS Composition for Film, Theatre and Media” is intented, a transfer discussion will take place in mid-May with the director of studies to clarify your further study prospects and specialisations. With the consent of the core subject lecturer, it is generally possible to continue your studies.

    Admission to the DAS or MAS degree programme
    Admission to the DAS in Musical Creation/Composition FTM is granted by the Director of Studies and the Head of Continuing Education in Music and usually takes place via a corresponding admission and dossier examination.

    The following documents must be submitted:

    • A dossier containing three recent works (compositions, performances, sound installations) with a brief critical assessment
    • Letter of motivation in relation to the DAS or MAS degree
    • Exposé of the planned final project (max. 1 page)
