    Eligibility and admission requirements

    Target audience

    The CAS Fundamentals of Typography is aimed at people whose work includes typography but who lack the necessary basic knowledge and experience. It teaches comprehensive design skills and a systematic, target-oriented design methodology. 
    The CAS gives graduates confidence in dealing with typography and the ability to solve design problems in a professional manner.

    The target audience includes:

    • Designers, illustrators, artists, architects, publicists who have insufficient knowledge of the basics of typography.
    • Career changers who would like to extend their basic typographical knowledge and learn a systematic design methodology in the process.
    • Other job profiles from the area of design or art with overlaps (e.g. lecturers, project managers, front-end developers) who would like to extend their skills with sound basic knowledge from the typography and graphics area.
    • Applicants who are interested in an MA in Design who do not fulfil the necessary requirements in the area of typography.

    Admission requirements

    Participants are required to have a nationally recognized degree from a university of applied sciences, university or technical university and a minimum of two yearsโ€™ professional experience in a related discipline. Interested candidates who do not have an appropriate degree may be admitted if they can provide detailed evidence of their further education and training and professional experience, and this is deemed equivalent.
