    The former advisory board was appointed as an academic board in order to maintain contact with the ZCCE in an advisory capacity and to continue to provide advice based on its experience and expertise.

      Christoph Backes (Germany) is director and member of the executive board of u-institut in Berlin. Since 2015, u-institut has been responsible for the Federal Governmentโ€™s Center of Excellence for the Cultural and Creative Industries, which is part of the Federal Governmentโ€˜s Culture and Creative Industries Initiative.

        Laila Hourani

        Laila Hourani (Egypt) is currently based in Cairo, where she is Senior Programme Officer for Arts, Culture and Media at the Ford Foundation MENA Regional Office. Before that, she was responsible for the strategy development of the British Councilโ€™s arts and culture work in the Near East and North Africa. Working out of Syria, she served as a board and jury member in key regional organizations, including Cultural Resource (Al Mawred Al Thaqafi) and the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC).

          Lisa Lang is the Director for EU Affairs & Policy Orchestrator for EIT Climate KIC.
          Climate-KIC is a knowledge and innovation community established and funded by the EIT โ€“ European Institute of Innovation and Technology in 2010.

          Our purpose is to tackle climate change through innovation. We are Europeโ€™s largest public-private partnership with this purpose โ€“ a growing pan-European community of diverse organisations united by a commitment to direct the power of creativity and human ingenuity at the climate change challenge.

          Lisa Lang has gained recognition as one of Forbes Europeโ€™s Top 50 Women in Tech, and has been listed as one of the 50 most important women for innovation & startups in the EU.
          She founded highly recognized companies like ElektroCouture, ThePowerHouse and FNDMT who are dedicated to push innovation within the creative and innovative industry eco systems. Lisa Lang is a direct adviser for creative industries, digitalisation and entrepreneurship for the European Commission on several high-level advisory boards, including Pact for Skills, Industrial Forum and the US/EU Trade & Technology Council.
          Lisa Lang is on the advisory board to the Zurich university of arts as well as a policy advisor for Fashion Innovation Centre Sweden. She has been given guest lectures at TEDx Athens, KryptoLabs Abu Dhabi and Oxford University.

            Desmond Hui

            Desmond Hui (Hong Kong) is Professor and Director of the BA in Art and Design, BA in Cultural and Creative Industries Programmes, Founding Head of the Department of Art and Design at the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong. He also serves as a member of the Country and Marine Parks Board, and of the Advisory Committee of Built Heritage Conservation. He is a museum expert adviser for the Hong Kong SAR Government.

              Jonathan Moeller

              Jonathan Moeller (Switzerland) founded his first company 29 years ago. With eight business foundations in a total of eleven countries, he is considered an international expert in digitisation, organisational development and integral management. He has developed several tools for the digital transformation of companies and ecosystems, including the โ€œExploded Viewโ€.ยญยญ He has lived and lives with his wife and three children in Amsterdam, Melbourne and Grรผt (Switzerland).

                Consuelo Sรกizar de la Fuente

                Consuelo Sรกizar de la Fuente (Mexico) is a cultural expert, scholar and publisher from Mexico. From 2009 to 2012, she was Minister of Culture in Mexico (President of the Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes, the Mexicoโ€™s Federal Ministry of Culture). She is currently a researcher at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge (England). As a government official, she led a revolutionary approach to Mexicoโ€™s cultural and publishing industries, promoting Mexicoโ€™s soft power while transforming its public publishing industries. She is a contributor to several books and the author of many articles on cultural policy and art funding.

                  Remo Schmidli

                  Remo Schmidli (Switzerland) has been Head of IT, Operations & Real Estate and a Member of the Executive Board at Zรผrcher Kantonalbank since 1 July 2019. Since 2014, he has headed the Multichannel Management Division. In this capacity, he has helped shape the bankโ€™s digitalization roadmap and โ€” together with his team โ€” has developed the innovation laboratory, thereby further strengthening the bankโ€™s position in mobile and e-banking. Remo Schmidli has a degree in computer science and an Executive Master of Business Administration (ZFH) from Zurich University of Applied Sciences. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Swiss Fintech Innovations.

                    Joanna Woronkowicz

                    Joanna Woronkowicz (USA) is Professor of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana Universityโ€™s Oโ€™Neill School. She conducts research on artist careers, arts investments, and arts policy. She is the director of the Center for Cultural Affairs and co-director of the Arts, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Lab, both at Indiana University. In autumn 2019, she was the first participant of the ZCCE Fellowship Programme.
