Admissions requirements and procedure
The Entry Test, which is the admission procedure for entry into the first year of the three-year Foundation Studies, is aimed at 11- to 12-year-old girls and boys who will complete primary school in the summer of 2026. Please complete the registration form and include all requested documents as specified on the registration form.
All applications will be answered - regardless of the outcome. Only applicants who receive a positive response to their submitted documents (registration form, photos and video) will be invited to the entry test on site in Zurich. The Entry Test will take place on the 7th floor of the Toni-Areal building on the Zurich University of the Arts campus.

Important Information Regarding the Photos and Video
Photos
All photos should be in .jpg, .gif, .png or .pdf format and no larger than 10 MB. The photos do not need to be professionally taken. Please ensure good lighting and a neutral background, and take the photos in close-fitting ballet or training attire (girls: no skirts or tutus). Please name the files as follows: LASTNAME_Firstname_Portrait und LASTNAME_Firstname_Body, for example: SMITH_Anna_Portrait.jpg.
Audition Video
Please watch the sample video (https://youtu.be/n2S5ms0uPR4) and have the student perform the movements to the music from the sample video. Simply play this sample video as background music. Intensive rehearsal of the steps, for example with a teacher, is not necessary. The video does not need to be filmed in a dance studio or professionally produced. Make sure there is enough space for movement, the recording location is well lit, and the camera remains as steady as possible. Instead of a ballet barre, the back of a chair or a high table can be used. The video should be in .mp4 format and no larger than 2 GB. Please name the file as follows: LASTNAME_Firstname_Video
