    FLAKS/ Fields, Projects and Publications

FLAKS initiates and conducts arts-based, subject-specific teaching research aimed at subject and teaching development in the areas of fine arts, music and theatre education in schools.

On request, FLAKS supervises projects on educational research in collaboration with interested teaching professionals, theatre pedagogues and institutions.

FLAKS is responsible for conveying a research-related teachers education through the teaching methodology courses at the Master of Arts in Art Education, specialization ‘Teaching Art’. The basic approach is action research.

FLAKS acts as an intra-university interface between the fields of fine arts, music and theatre pedagogy. The findings generated from the research projects flow into the curriculum design, the courses offered and the university didactics at ZHdK.

FLAKS shares findings and knowledge in public conferences and talks, publications, articles, and offers workshops.
