In 2026, a maximum of three participants will be admitted to the EARS pre-PhD programme. Applicants should have a suitable Master’s degree or equivalent and a strong artistic profile with broad practical experience.

Registration and Admissions Process

Applications will be submitted using the online application form. The application window is open until 31 December 2025 at 24:00h CET.  

Through the application tool, you will be required to submit the following attachments: 

  • Curriculum vitae in tabular form (pdf, 1 page) 

  • Short artistic portfolio (pdf, max. 2 pages) 

  • Pilot project draft (pdf, max 2 pages), including: your motivation for research, goals, relation to the ICST expertise areas, references to related research and practice, research plan, and infrastructural and technical requirements
