The RareSim project aims at developing novel AI-based approaches to support physicians in their analogical tasks of helping rare disease patient (diagnosis, and, possibly, treatment planning/monitoring). Whilst these more than 7000 rare diseases afflict individually less than 2000 people, it is estimated that around 500’000 Swiss are affected.
