The Digital Health Design Living Lab (DHD LL) is a co-creative, interdisciplinary hub that brings together healthcare stakeholders and experts from the three founding Zurich universities (ZHdK, UZH, ZHAW) to actively shape the future of digital healthcare.
The DHD LL develops and implements innovative solutions – from products to processes to services – for the (digital) healthcare system. These are based on individual and societal needs as well as the latest findings from interdisciplinary research. In addition, the Living Lab contributes to the generation of new knowledge and the promotion of interdisciplinary skills.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
The Living Lab designs and implements projects in the context of digital health. Activities include the support, development, research, and implementation of solutions.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
In the field of education, programs are being developed to train and educate professionals at various qualification levels – from undergraduate and graduate study programs to part-time certificates and doctoral opportunities – for interdisciplinary collaboration in digital healthcare.
PARTICIPATORY FORMATS
Dialogue formats and the active involvement of experts and the public raise awareness of digital health. At the same time, innovative, value-adding ideas are promoted.
The core team of the DHD LL consists of experts in the fields of design and design research, medical ethics, and health promotion. To ensure the needs-based implementation and successful rollout of tailor-made solutions in practice, the Living Lab cooperates closely with university hospitals, patient organizations, professional associations, research institutions, healthcare providers, and the public. The participatory approach incorporates a variety of perspectives and builds on collaborative engagement.
