Church Music
Welcome to the profile Church Music! Training at ZHdK includes offerings for choral conducting and organ in the Bachelor of Arts in Music, the Master of Arts in Music Performance and the Master of Arts in Specialized Music Performance degree programme.
With organ as an instrumental major, students can also take Bachelor's degrees in Conducting, School Music and Creative Music Practices, as well as a Master's degree in Music Pedagogy.
Music studies at ZHdK take place at one of the largest integrated art colleges in Europe. Students are guided by excellent lecturers and benefit from state-of-the-art infrastructure. The flexible and permeable study programme and the broad networking with the professional world offer optimal conditions for the start of a professional career.

Improvisation
Improvisation has a centuries-old tradition in organ playing. And so organ students in the Bachelor's and Master's programmes enjoy individual tuition, in the DAS Church Music Organ group tuition in improvisation. Forms of choral (group) improvisation are also taught in the choral conducting major.
