Josef Mohamed is an actor, performer, curator, and program and dramaturgy consultant. Josef completed his master’s degree in acting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in 2014. As an actor and performer, he works both at established theaters and in the independent theater and performance scene in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. Josef has been a member of the international ensemble “the director’s theatre writer’s theatre” since 2015.
As an actor, he has appeared in various German-language television programs as well as in the feature films “Why Not You” by Evi Romen and “Maysoon” by Nancy Biniadaki. From 2022 to 2024, Josef worked as a program consultant for the Swiss theater “Theater Marie.” He lives and works in Zurich, where he has also curated the off-section of the international festival “Zürcher Theaterspektakel” since 2024 and has taught at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) since 2025.
