    Assessment of Entry-Level Competencies

    Certain entry-level competencies are required as a condition of participation in this minor and are assessed as described below. Information on which majors must complete the assessment can be found in the PDF “More about this minor”.

    Entry-Level Competencies

    In accordance with the Minor Allocation Regulations, students must undergo an aptitude assessment to demonstrate that they possess the required entry-level competencies: 

    • Able to independently formulate their personal learning goals with regard to their musical-artistic development 
    • Able to plan their individual musical-artistic projects with regard to practical, exploratory, reflective and theoretical aspects 

    Aptitude Assessment

    Students seeking admission to the Self-Composed Minor (Music) formulate 

    • personal learning goals with regard to their musical-artistic development in the SCM and 
    • their individual musical-artistic intentions in terms of practical, exploratory, reflexive and theoretical aspects. 

    Form: maximum one A4 page (pdf) 

    Depending on the precision of the wording, the minor candidates may be invited to a short clarifying conversation. 

    Aptitude Assessment Criteria

    The following criteria are used to assess whether students possess the entry-level competencies in accordance with the Minor Allocation Regulations and the Degree Programme Regulations: 

    • Ability to develop (musical-artistic potential) 
    • Independence (artistic quality) 
    • Critical reflection skills  
    • Teamwork and communication skills
