Course content.
In the โ€œScript Analysisโ€ minor, students dive into the world of film and screenplay analysis. Students learn to analyse, use, and work from classic and modern dramaturgies and learn about their requisite language and terminology, including genre rules and genre terminology. Together with screenwriters, students practise and hone their discussion, interpretation, and communication skills within the discipline of storytelling. Through various oral and written analyses, students learn how to analyse scripts in practical terms and how to correct short and full-length screenplays and series concepts. Moreover, students are taught to write and copy-edit submissions for funding applications. Over the course of the programme, students acquire the necessary skills to consult throughout the screenwriting process, from the basic idea to the finished screenplay. National and international guests are invited to discuss their experiences and provide insights into their work. Students who graduate from this course will be able to apply the DNA of storytelling to their own work.
