Programme

Major-Minor Programme Model

In choosing a major, students choose their core subject area. They can choose one or two minors to deepen the competencies acquired in their major or to expand these competencies across disciplines. Alternatively, they can also choose open courses to form an Individual Area of Study (ISB).

Possible minors for this major

Individual Area of Study

Instead of a minor, students can also choose an Individual Area of Study (ISB). Courses chosen as part of an ISB are cross-disciplinary and subject to special admissions requirements. The number of places on such courses is limited.

Degree programmes beginning before the autumn semester of 2023 (BA) or before the autumn semester of 2024 (MA)

Before the autumn semester of 2023, there were eight bachelor's degree programmes and before the autumn semester of 2024, there were eleven master's degree programmes with numerous specializations to choose from. Interdisciplinary options were available in Z-modules and open courses from other subject areas.

Lecturers

Students from far and wide attend teaching by Prof. Andreas Jost and Prof. Tobias Willi, who both perform and teach all over the world.
In addition to their one-to-one teaching sessions, the two Choral Conducting lecturers (Ernst Buscagne, Prof. Markus Utz) – both of whom are also active at international level – are also involved in team-based teaching and are continuously bringing new ideas to bear in their teaching thanks to their international network.
