Course content.
Receive practice and project-oriented insights into artistic research. In this minor, you will learn different research approaches, explore procedures and publication formats, and interact proactively in peer groups. Subsequently, you will have the opportunity to test these research approaches in a practice laboratory for staging and film research, and further develop your skills in a transdisciplinary, collaborative environment. One option is to develop a concept for your own artistic-research project in the form of a research proposal mentored by experienced researchers, and/or attend further modules on specific research topics, some of which are run by PhD students of the Department of Performing Arts and Film. This will give you an insight into the daily life of a PhD student in the arts. After this minor (15 ECTS), there is the option to change to a transversal research minor (30 ECTS).
The minor, offered by the Institute for Performing Arts and Film, is taught in German and English and aimed at Bachelorโs and Masterโs students. It is open to all departments and offered once a year.
