    The โ€œCAS Computer Musicโ€ builds on an assessment. The specific target skills are based on the individual interests and skills of the students upon admission to the course, and include the following study goals:

    • Realisation of own musical works with the computer
    • Familiarity with various software tools for sound synthesis, sound processing and algorithmic composition
    • Use of the computer in live electronic settings
    • Competence in basic studio work (recording, sound systems, etc.)
    • Analysis of electroacoustic music
    • Occupation with auditory perception/psychoacoustics.

    Qualification

    CAS Computer Music
    The programme concludes with a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS). The certificate describes the work performed (classroom instruction and self-study) and confirms successful participation in the course. No grade is given. The certificate includes a written reflection on the individual learning objectives formulated at the beginning of the course and the learning process that has taken place. This is submitted to the core subject lecturer and the administration office at the end of the academic year.
