    More: CAS Visual Storytelling

    Academic objective

The CAS Visual Storytelling aims to explore narrative publication and communication formats in a process-oriented manner, both in analogue and digital media. Participants acquire a cross-media understanding of visual storytelling and explore the requirements, potential benefits and interactions between different formats and media. Participants acquire advanced design strategies and learn how to use innovative narrative styles. At the end of the continuing education course, they are capable of independently developing hybrid publication formats and implementing them according to the latest design standards.

The CAS teaches participants solid conceptual, design and technical skills that can be used in different areas of activity such as graphic design, communication, publishing, media and content creation. Participants who complete the degree programme go on to conceive and design challenging narrative forms and publications, ranging from books, magazines and catalogues through to digital publications, interactive applications and cross-media communication solutions.

Moreover, participants learn how to communicate design concepts in an expert manner, provide competent advice to different target groups and make informed design decisions. They develop professional specialist knowledge, a specialist vocabulary and the ability to communicate their own point of view convincingly.
