The CAS Facilitating Innovation is structured into a total of seven workshop modules, each of which takes place from Thursday to Saturday, from  9 am to 4.30 pm (subject to change).

    Module 1 โ€“ Facilitation

    Aspects of facilitation

    Class of 2025/26: Thursโ€“Sat, 4.โ€“6.9.2025

In the introductory module, we delve into the various dimensions of facilitation. Especially in times of AI, it is necessary for people to work together across disciplines, teams and roles. But what does facilitation mean? What characterises good facilitators? Participants will learn about key concepts, methods and tools and important ingredients for successfully supporting stakeholders in innovation and transformation processes.

    Module 2 โ€“ Methods

    Design methods for collaborative innovation

    Class of 2025/26: Thursโ€“Sat, 25.โ€“27.9.2025

The focus is on the application and further development of co-creation methods in order to be able to interact with stakeholders in an experience-orientated way. Participants learn to identify relevant target groups and actively involve them in playful workshop settings. They train useful facilitation practices and methods for the collection, development and implementation of collaborative innovation projects.

    Module 3 โ€“ Individuals

    Embodied facilitation

    Class of 2025/26: Thursโ€“Sat, 23.โ€“25.10.2025

Successful facilitation situations are closely linked to the multi-sensory presence of the facilitator, but also of all other participants. Physicality and self-reflection are decisive factors here. This module teaches experiential techniques ranging from improvisation to experience prototyping and provides space to apply these techniques. The declared aim is to develop a keen sense for the right interplay of body and mind - of all participants - in different situations and activities.

    Module 4 โ€“ Groups

    Data-based design and business argumentation

    Class of 2025/26: Thursโ€“Sat, 13.โ€“15.11.2025

Group dynamic processes are the core business of facilitators. How to react when workshop participants resist? What to do when hierarchies paralyse the group? Role-playing games, Lego Serious Play and AI-supported simulations help you to react more confidently to situations in team meetings, innovation workshops or large group events. This module focuses on helpful tactics and strategies for the facilitator role in high-energy settings. It thus provides a further facet to expand the individual repertoire of methods.

    Module 5 โ€“ Company

    Business Facilitation

    Class of 2025/26: Thursโ€“Sat, 4.โ€“6.12.2025

Every organisation has its own culture of collaboration. Facilitating transformation processes in these different cultures requires a broad range of skills on the part of the facilitator as well as the ability to adapt their own expertise to very different settings (e.g. meetings) or digital platforms. Insights into different corporate practices help to pick up stakeholders in a customised way and to accompany change projects using communication strategies tailored to the target group.

    Module 6 โ€“ Impact

    Arguing, integrating and measuring facilitation

    Class of 2025/26: Thuโ€“Sat, 8.โ€“10.1.2026

The value of good facilitation is difficult to quantify. Evidence-based methods can help to quantify process improvements and innovation steps in concrete terms. This shift in perspective towards data-based metrics helps to strengthen the case for facilitation and anchor it sustainably in transformation projects of all kinds. In addition, measurement principles are indispensable for organisational settings and round off the transformative profile of facilitators.

    Module 7 โ€“ Festival

    Facilitation Festival

    Class of 2025/26: Thuโ€“Sat, 22.โ€“24.1.2026

At the end, we celebrate the different facilitation profiles that have emerged over the past few months. The participants immerse themselves in concrete use cases and look back on their individual development paths. They will present the essence of their facilitation projects at a festive event, which will also provide an insight into current aspects of the facilitation discourse.
