The central point of contact for all matters relating to your studies

The Student Affairs department of the Vice-Rectorate for Education supports ZHdK students through every stage of their academic career.

As a central hub, we bring together advice and services in one place – offering expert, personalised and solution-focused support. We ensure that the core processes of study and teaching run smoothly together, and support all centrally organised procedures: from application and enrolment, through the choice of minor, to graduation.

    An overview of our services:

    • General study information and student lifecycle – admission, enrolment, graduation
    • Personal advice on choosing a degree programme, study programmes and everyday life in Zurich
    • Support with mobility and exchange programmes – both nationally and internationally

Whether you’re a prospective student, a current student or an exchange student – with us, you’ll find guidance, support and the right points of contact for your academic journey.

→ The Student Lifecycle Management team is responsible for formal admission, enrolment, choosing a minor, changes to student records and graduation procedures; it issues degree certificates and manages student data. It is responsible for invoicing students, the federal government and the cantons.

→ The Student Advice team is the central point of contact for students and prospective students, offering advice on choosing a degree programme and minor, career prospects, international mobility and migration, as well as on living and studying in Zurich.

→ The Mobility Office team organizes student and staff mobility schemes. It supports incoming and outgoing students and lecturers, coordinates partnerships, exchange programmes, language support and social integration initiatives, and promotes the university’s national and international networking.

For enquiries regarding subject-specific matters relating to a particular degree programme, please contact the academic secretariats of the individual departments.
