MA Design, Industrial Design

Driven by curiosity-based and practice-led exploration, the Major Master Industrial Design programme is a platform for exploring the role of design in reimagining material realities and renegotiating dominant (value) systems. Through prototyping and debating tangible expressions of things to come, the course enables designers to play a meaningful role in shaping technological, ecological, and equitable futures.

Subject area

Industrial designers have an important social responsibility that goes far beyond questions of style or personal preferences.

Major-Minor Programme Model

At ZHdK, students choose a Major. In addition to this core subject, they can choose one or two Minors to deepen or expand their major skills and knowledge across various disciplines.
