Navigating Artistic Autonomy in the Contemporary Art Market

    Tuğçe Kaprol

This project examines how artistic autonomy is negotiated in relation to the economic structures of the contemporary art market. It conceptualizes autonomy as a strategically produced condition, drawing on philosophical aesthetics and cultural economics. It analyzes how mechanisms such as branding, speculation, and valuation shape autonomy as a dynamic and relational condition.
