    Structure

The DAS module runs for one semester. Students who complete it successfully are awarded a “Diploma of Advanced Studies”. As part of the DAS module, candidates realize a practical project (recital/concert) and write 8-10 pages of documentation.

A total of four mentoring hours are available for the DAS module. These can be used to supervise the practical project and/or the written documentation. The choice of mentor depends on individual needs and is determined in consultation with the Head of Continuing Education in Music.

    Qualification

With the successful completion of the DAS module, the skills acquired in the continuing education degree programme are bundled and completed with a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS). The module is worth 6 ECTS points.

The DAS degree with Core Subject Classical Music Performance consists of two parts:

    1. 30-minute recital
Conception, development and presentation of a 30-minute recital.
Students may choose the works themselves and discuss them with the lecturer teaching the major as well as the Head of Continuing Education Music upon registering for the programme. The recital should reflect the individual profile of the student.
    2. Written documentation
Written documentation of 8-10 pages (excl. pictures and appendix). The paper should document the student’s personal connection to their programme of choice and the individual artistic focus. Furthermore, it should highlight a programme element – this can take the form of an analytical and/or a theory-/content-based reflection on the major work or a group of works or an explanation of the entire programme concept and its specific development or the design of a programme for the DAS degree recital.
