AI sometimes fails at seemingly simple tasks that require little more than common sense to solve. Yet, Automating common sense, an amorphous body of intuitive reasoning, turns out to be extremely difficult, that it has been called the “dark matter of AI”. In this talk, Hito Steyerl will focus on the relationship between AI, Art and Common Sense.

Prof. Dr. Hito Steyerl (*1966 in Munich) is an artist, filmmaker and author. She heads the "Current Digital Media" class at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich.
