A fascinating symbiosis of two pianos and six dancers - this is what Philipp Rhein aims for in his diploma concert at the Zurich University of the Arts with his latest work "Forgotten Land - Dance Suite for two pianos". In this context, dance is not intended as mere accompaniment, but rather as an independent and enhancing element to transport and enliven the music. Together with pianist Utako Endo, the composer himself will perform the five-movement-piece on two Steinway D grand pianos. The choreography, developed specifically for the composition by Manning Dong and Rebeka Mondovics in collaboration with six highly talented dancers from the ZHdK and the renowned AKADEMIE DES TANZES Mannheim, promises a rare concert evening that shouldn't be missed.

Studierende aus den Schwerpunkten Creative Music Practices, Komposition für Film, Theater und Medien, Elektroakustische Komposition, Zeitgenössische Komposition, Sound Design oder Theorie präsentieren ihre Diplomarbeiten. Sie zeugen von Passion und Schaffenslust, von Ambitionen und Visionen beim Update ins Master-Studium oder auf dem Sprung in ihre Karrieren.
