Sometimes an axe is wonky and skewed; sometimes, life is. Based on an open call, this exhibition presents works by ZHdK Fine Arts students and alumni SueJin Hong, Ramon Iten, Lily Pellaud, Mara Röllin, Nils Schulz, Levin Stettler Brogli and Sofia Smolenskaya. Their works challenge notions of perfection and conformity. They hint at imbalances in the financial market and in our belief systems, examine tools and their (dis)functions, the brittleness of the screen, deconstruct heroine figures, or the retreat to one’s own on- and offline cosmos.

Two artist talks will be held during the exhibition:

    July 7, 6 pm
Artist talk with Levin Stettler Brogli, Nils Schulz and Ramon Iten moderated by Johanna Vieli (Bachelor Fine Arts)

    July 12, 6 pm
Artist talk with Lily Pellaud and Sofia Smolenskaya moderated by Gabrielle Schaad (Bachelor Fine Arts)
