How long have you been dancing and what do you love most about it?

I have been dancing for 8 years now, and I find it so exceptional that dance is a sport and an art form all in one. I love how I can fully express myself and my emotions through movements without any words, I get dance with my heart and soul.

What has been your most memorable moment at Zurich Dance Academy?

During these past 3 years I have experienced so many wonderful things at taZ, which moments I will cherish forever. It was probably one of the best experiences to be part of the Prix de Lausanne Partner School Choreographic Project in 2024, but it was just as memorable to dance The Nutcracker Sugar Plum Pas de Deux in Basel in 2023 with Leo, my friend and classmate.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself still dancing in a ballet company, somewhere in the world, by that time with loads of stage experience. Hopefully, my career will evolve within the next five years, but for now I am just very excited to step out into the professional dance world and experience things. Life is full of surprises which makes it so exciting, and this is only the beginning, I want to enjoy every moment, learn and be happy whatever comes my way.

The best feeling on stage is for me…

Personally, what I love about the stage is how it makes me feel. The adrenaline and excitement before I go on stage, the freedom and joy while I dance, not to mention the end when the audience starts applauding during the bows, all this is a totally incomparable feeling. What makes it beyond special for me is that I have the opportunity to give something memorable to the audience, this is such a beautiful feeling.

What piece of advice would you give younger dancers who are hoping to grow and achieve their dreams in dance?

I would suggest young dancers to never give up on your dreams, because if you love enough what you do, your dreams will become your reality one day. There are days that are tougher than others, but remind yourself why did you start and think of the reasons why do you love to dance. Because dance can also be the reason that gets you through other struggles. Everyone is different and everyone gets to reach their goals in different ways because we all have our own paths - our individuality and uniqueness is what makes us all so special.
