"Circular Paths" is a performative inquiry into the memory of time and space, and the boundary between humans and nonhumans, with a performance where the act of walking structures the work as a continuous process of spatial and perceptual negotiation, tracing the changing relations of the body and apparatuses.
We navigate through stages of how we relate with our media and the apparatus we use, from reflection on how they shapes and transforms our perceptions and behaviours (Walter Benjamin), to how they become the message (Marshall McLuhan), and eventually the defining force of the boundaries and properties of subjects and objects (Karen Barad).
We work in a space, and we work with this space. Into this space, we brought with ourselves different objects and apparatus; some tangible while some others not. They are put into an emergent state with numerous circular paths of convoluted and recursive connections where they listen to themselves, see themselves, and react to themselves.
Are they an installation or instruments? Are they an extension of our bodies and minds? Or are we simply part of them?
