How long have you been dancing and what do you love most about it?

I started ballet at the age of 3, when I joined my aunt’s ballet school. At 6, I shifted my focus to rhythmic gymnastics, a discipline I pursued until I was 11. However, my love for ballet eventually resurfaced and drew me back into its world. In 2019, at the age of 14, I moved to Zurich and joined the school at the final year of a pre-vocational dance program, completing 4 years of education. What I love about ballet is the fact that there is no need of words, its just pure emotions and powerful feelings through movement.

What has been your most memorable moment at Zurich Dance Academy?

It's hard to talk about just one moment. There have been several, such as the opportunity to take part in the choreography project at the Prix de Lausanne, dancing on the stage of the Zurich Opera with the Ballet Zürich and one of my favorites; dancing the beautiful choreography "Simply Bach" by Altea Nunez, which made me feel unexplainable emotions in just a few minutes. From love to the joy of sharing the stage and the endless adrenaline rush before you break through the barrier of the wings.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Having a stable position in a prestigious dance company, continuing with my constant work and being proud of my achievements. All that includes not only ballet, but my family, school education and everything that leads me to enjoy my life with happiness and joy.

The best feeling on stage is for me…

It’s probably, subconsciously loosing myself in the music and moments, that instance when everything else fades away. The nerves, the audience and everything around me, it all melts into this flow where I’m not just dancing a role, I am the story. As well, as when my body takes over, my emotions overlap the steps, and you are on stage; it’s turns to be pure magic.

What piece of advice would you give younger dancers who are hoping to grow and achieve their dreams in dance?

Fall in love with the process and constant work, not just the spotlight. Dreams in ballet take time, patience and ridiculous amount of resilience. There will be days when it feels like you’re not improving, when corrections feel endless or when others seem to be ahead of you, but growth is as loud as quiet persistence.
Above all, REMEMBER WHY YOU STARTED… hold on to that love and irreplaceable passion. Let it carry you through to the though classes, the long rehearsals and moments of doubt.
