DIPLOMA PROJECT
A collage of birds: the way they move and the way they move me, in temporal space.
Themes of nostalgia and questions about the future are interpreted and represented in the form and movements of these feathered friends that circle above me day to day.
An exploration of learning to fly, literally and metaphorically, to prose by Joëlle Hofmann and music by Nina Simone.
BIOGRAPHY
Just like my mother, and her mother before her, I have always been an artist, whether drawing, painting, creative writing or singing and dancing along to any kind of music.
I take inspiration from architecture, different kinds of human connection, but most of all from nature. My favourite place to dance is the forest, maybe surprising, since I've spent most of my waking hours in and around the city of Zurich in the past 22 years. This is where I studied dance under Shonach Mirk, at the Balletschool for the Opera house Zurich and the Tanzwerk 101, before starting the BA Contemporary Dance at the ZHdK. I left Zurich for the first time for my current internship at the Ballet Plauen-Zwickau.
