BIOGRAPHY
I'm Victor Mendes, a Brazilian dancer and performer based in Zürich. My love for dance began with classical training and evolved into a passion for diverse forms of expression. I studied contemporary dance at the Ballet Junior de Genève and have been working with renowned artists across Europe. Now, as a freelance dancer, rehearsal director, choreographer assistant, drag performer and a sickening b*tch, I’m exploring new artistic avenues and recently earned an MA in Teaching and Coaching Professional Dancers.

Exploring the world of drag performance and its intersection with dance education, this study is all about giving dance students an extra boost of empowerment. It dives into how embracing the boldness of drag can seriously amp up self-confidence, shape personal identity, and set free new levels of expression. This isn't just about theory; it's packed with real-life examples and hands-on research to tackle the nitty-gritty challenges, think through the ethics, and craft teaching methods that make everyone feel welcome and charged up to dance their hearts out.
