Q&A WITH LISA ITO
What does dance mean to you?
- Dance is a way for me to express and understand emotions that I cannot always explain in words. It also allows me to connect with others and create something meaningful through movement, music, and intention.
What memory will you take with you from your time at ZHdK?
- I will remember the time spent in the studio, especially the moments of searching, struggling, and discovering something new. Sharing these experiences with my classmates made them even more meaningful to me.
Which work or choreographer particularly inspires you, and why?
- I am particularly inspired by William Forsythe because of the way he challenges classical technique and opens new possibilities for movement. His work makes me more aware of my body and encourages me to explore movement in a deeper way.
