DIPLOMA PROJECT / THESIS
- Project title: Memories
- Description: Have you ever thought about how is going to be when a person will lose their memories? What the people and their families who are around them can do?
Every single day you try to remember one little part of you, that is gone. Sometimes try isn’t enough, you need something or someone that will give you a reason to remember or sometimes it’s even better to forget things , things that maybe hurts. The childhood, bad or good, is part of you and it will stay there, we force ourselves to be always with our memories but sometimes memories are harder than keep forcing to remember so sometimes it’s better to let it go.
- Choreographer / Copyright: Giuseppe Ferrara
- Additional Persons / Contributors: In the picture: Rosaria Cortiello / Mario Ferrara / Michela Ferrara / Giovanna Pezzella.
A huge thanks to my family, that give to me something to remember.
Q&A WITH GIUSEPPE FERRARA
What does dance mean to you?
- Dance mean everything. In every little thing we do , we dance. Dance is in everywhere we what them to be, no matter how hard can be or how we feels, we just have to dance it out.
What memory will you take with you from your time at ZHdK?
- From my time at ZHdK I would love to take every single person that teaches me something, I don’t mean just teacher but also my colleagues, because each person has given to me something, but if I have to choose one, I will take the moment that I met everyone on the first day, since then I understood that they will become my person.
Which work or choreographer particularly inspires you, and why?
- During my two years of studying at ZHdK, I enjoyed every single choreographer and work done there, including class in the morning. The Choreographer that I would always remember is Béatrice Goetz, because she was the beginning of this beautiful journey.
