Q&A WITH ALEXANDRA MELSOM
What does dance mean to you?
- Ballet has been a central part of my life and a huge passion since I was young. Through many years of training, I have experienced the joy of small achievements in the daily work, value of hard work, patience, collaboration and standing strong through difficult times. Ballet is a way for me to express emotions and my personality through movements which I love.
What memory will you take with you from your time at ZHdK?
- I will always carry with me the friendships bult at TaZ. Thank you to my friends and classmates for always being and creating a very supportive environment together. Filled with indescribable many fun, loving and crazy memories i will always remember and take with me in the future.
Which work or choreographer particularly inspires you, and why?
- I have a long bucket list of amazing choreographers I would love to work with in the future. One of them whom i really look up to and have recently watched a few works by him is Alexander Ekman. Im really inspired by his innovative style combining creativity through storytelling and movement. I really hope to work with him in the near future.
