    Q&A WITH NOËLIE AMOUROUX-ANDRIEU
What does dance mean to you?
    - I started to want making ballet my profession when I was 13. I discovered variations and ballet, the magic of being able to interpret characters, to be able to become this character and at the same time to add my own personality in this role. Through my dance journey I learned to not only perform but transmit to the public how much I enjoy dancing and it is what I think when I am on stage. I like to feel that I am working, I like to feel my body so alive, this energy that goes through my body when I dance, that I can even feel my heart beating so fast. So this is why I dance.

What memory will you take with you from your time at ZHdK?
    - Working with the BA1 last year for Shahar Binyamini’s Bolero X was one of the best experiences, moreover the atmosphere during our rehearsals were so good. Feeling the group in harmony, this atmosphere in which we manage to feel the people around us being in symbiosis is so pleasant. Moreover, going to Austria, Italy, and Switzerland with Shahar’s company was very enriching.

Which work or choreographer particularly inspires you, and why?
    - Forsythe's work inspired me a lot, I discovered new ways of improvising with different materials and to enjoy and approach dance in a different way. During our rehearsals with Sharhar, I also changed my approach to the contemporary, I was able to feel my body move with fluidity and differently, gradually adapting to the difficulty of the Bolero X, at first I was completely tense and stiff and then I started to enjoy more and more.
