Biografie
The Swedish pianist Vilhelm Moqvist (2003) was twice the winner in different age categories of the National Steinway Piano competition in the Stockholm Concert hall, in 2018 selected as the Swedish representative in the International Steinway Piano Festival in Laeiszhalle, Hamburg. Vilhelm made his debut as a soloist in Mendelssohn Piano Concerto No. 1 at the age of fourteen. He won the Polar Star Prize, Sweden's biggest competition for young promising classical instrumentalists up to 18 years old, in 2021 performing Prokofiev Piano concerto no 3, 3rd mouvement, with the jury's motivation: ”A real virtuoso who finds the groove! The winner combines total mastery of technique and timbre with an impressive sense of style”.
In 2020 he was one of five Nordic young musicians selected to perform with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra at De Unges Konsert at the Grieg Concert hall in Bergen, Norway.
Vilhelm studied for the Swedish internationally renowned pianist Roland Pöntinen from 2019-2022. In 2022 he started a Bachelor's degree at Zürich University of the Arts (Zhdk) for Prof. Konstantin Scherbakov.
