Biografie

Marc Bredemeier, born in Germany in 1989, lives and works between Berlin and Basel. His work in art, design, and mediation influences the trajectory of his curation, which focuses on performative and community building aspects. He holds a BA of Fine Arts from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and is currently completing his MA in Art Education, Curatorial Studies at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), expected in spring 2025. Alongside his studies, he works in art mediation at kunstmuseum basel. Previously, he has worked for institutions such as the Kommunale Galerien Berlin, KW Institute for Contemporary Art, transmediale and Museumsdienst Berlin. A key motive in his practice is to question processes of (re)production and their (re)presentation. In his ongoing process of creating transdisciplinary spaces, these questions arise: What expectations are carried forward, and which hierarchies emerge, get re-presented, or re-produced again? What are we taking with us? Notions of our futures are of great value: what we think today determines how we live tomorrow…
