Biografie
Jorge Yagüe (Madrid, 1996) is Chief conductor of the León Youth Orchestra, and from September 2022 he is starting his Master in conducting at the ZHdK (Zürich) under the guidance of Prof. Johannes Schlaefli and Christoph-Mathias Müller.
He earned his conducting degree in the Katarina Gurska Superior School of Music with Maestro Borja Quintas. Among his mentors are world renowned maestros as Daniele Gatti (at the Academia Chigiana), Pablo González, Marin Alsop, Nicolas Pasquet, Álvaro Albiach, James Ross, Karel Mark Chichon or Tomas Netopil.
Yagüe has been invited to conduct some of the most important Spanish ensembles, such as Spanish Radio-television Orchestra, Extremadura Symphony Orchestra or Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra. As well, he has conducted international orchestras as Janacek Philharmonic Ostrava, NOI Festival Orchestra Maryland or the Senzaspine Orchestra.
Yagüe is usually invited to assist several ensembles all around Spain, highlighting the Spanish National Youth Orchestra.
He studied his piano degree with Maestras Nino Kereselidze and Mercedes Lecea.
