Biografie

I am a cultural analyst and associated postdoctoral researcher at the Institut d'Histoire du Temps Présent of the CNRS in Paris, as well as an associated researcher at the Center for Global Studies of the University of Bern. I obtained my PhD at the Institute of History of the University of Bern as member of the Global Studies program. I previously obtained my master and bachelor degrees in Barcelona, with majors in contemporary history and aesthetics. My research interests lie in artistic practices with historiographic purposes, especially in objects and devices crossed by deterioration, memory and affect. Besides my academic career, I have been involved in several cultural and interdisciplinary projects as an artistic manager, performer, and curator. www.isabelpiniella.org/
