Biografie
Flora Klein is a painter. She grew up in Ernen, CH and lives in Berlin, DE. Klein studied in Lausanne (BA Fine Arts, ECAL) and Vienna (MA Critical Studies, Akademie der bildenden Künste). Her artistic practice consists primarily of abstract painting which is characterised through stylistic shifts and differences. Her work has been exhibited at Kunsthaus Glarus, Kunsthaus Hamburg, Galerie Max Mayer, Düsseldorf, Lars Friedrich, Berlin, Tara Downs, New York, The Green Gallery, Milwaukee, Treize, Paris and Piper Keys, London, amongst others. Alongside her painting practice, Klein has instigated various projects for social exchange: This includes the exhibition series Walks News with Samuel Jeffery, the screening program Filmclub der polnischen Versager*innen with Elisa R. Linn and Tiphanie Kim Mall, and the collectively organized Curbit Festival. Furthermore, she works at MÄDEA, a youth center for girls* in Berlin.
